Q8 OBC
Offering high processing power and flexibility with low SWaP, Xiphos’ On-Board Computer (OBC) is designed to meet the needs of your most demanding SmallSat missions, giving you full control over all spacecraft subsystems. Based on the Xiphos Q8 processor board, it’s backed by 120+ years of flight heritage.
The Q8 OBC card offers the following key features:
SUBSYSTEM CONTROL
The OBC offers a large selection of interfaces for all spacecraft subsystems.
- Serial: RS-422/485/232, CAN, and LVDS-based protocols
- Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0
SATELLITE MONITORING
To monitor subsystems, the Q8 OBC provides:
- -5V to +5V analog inputs
- 0V to 5V analog inputs
- PT2000 thermistor inputs for thermal monitoring
FORM FACTOR
- 167.3 mm x 182.6 mm x 91 mm
- 957 g
OPERATION
- Operating Temp. -40 to +60C
- Power 7.5W nominal, 14W peak
- Xiphos Radiation Robustness Suite
FULLY FLEXIBLE
Your OBC should enable your spacecraft platform design, not limit it. The Xiphos toolchain gives you full control over the FPGA fabric and Linux Operating System environment.
Its reconfigurable 3v3 GPIO and LVDS pins allow for custom interfaces, while flexible RS-422/485/232 serial settings make it easy to adapt to your hardware suite.
